Obituary for Vincent G Fenimore

Vincent Fenimore, 81, of Somerset, went to his eternal reward Wednesday, August 26, 2020 after an illness at home. He spent most of the year dealing with eye issues, wound care and then cancer.

He met his wife of 52 years, Margaret (Peggy) McNally, at work while in management at Western Electric in New York City, and subsequently being transferred to Berkley Heights with AT&T during his 39 year career. After retirement he continued working for 19 years at Petrock’s Liquors in Hillsborough.

Vincent was passionate about his favorite hobby, playing Texas Hold’em at his clubhouse and socially with friends. He loved traveling, cleaning his car, and was a devoted fan of the New York Rangers ice hockey team, and the “Brooklyn” Dodgers. He loved attending all his grandchildren’s sporting events: football, lacrosse, equestrian shows, volleyball and dance recitals.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Fenimore of 52 years. Vincent is also survived by his four loving children, Christopher and his wife Georgia, Michael and wife Helenann, Karen Pirog and husband Kyle, and Suzanne Eden and husband Jim. He leaves behind his six grandchildren, Jack, Derek, Jessica, Reagan, Ella and Tyler.

A celebration of life funeral mass will take place at Mary Mother of God RC Church in Hillsborough on Thursday, September 3rd, at 9:30am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation,

And as they say when leaving a game of poker, “I’m now folding.”
