Obituary for Cathleen Lois Goedde

Cathleen Lois Goedde (née Reick) of Hillsborough, NJ passed away peacefully after courageously battling ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) for 3 years, on January 22, 2019 at the age of 59.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Curtis Goedde; children, Kyle and Kristen Goedde; father, Charles Reick; brother, Alan Reick; and sisters, Carol Snyder (nee Reick); Lori Logan (nee Reick). She was a caring and loving aunt to 8 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by mother, Ethel Reick of Edison, NJ.
Cathy was born on March 7, 1959 in Rahway, NJ to Charles and Ethel Reick. She was raised in Edison, NJ, attended Edison High and then graduated from Rutgers University with a BS degree in Chemistry and worked at Mobil Oil and recently Honeywell. She loved the beach, gardening, travelling, being a fantastic cook and making memories with her family.

Visiting for relatives and friends will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4pm – 8pm at the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Hwy 206, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Cathy be made to the Joan Dancy & People with ALS (PALS) Foundation at 1 Riverview Plaza Road, Red Bank, NJ www.joandancyandpals.org.
