Jim grew up in New Milford, NJ where he met and fell in love with Carole Schramm. He graduated from Notre Dame University in 1955, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as an engineer at Bell Labs in Whippany, NJ from 1956 to1992. He held a number of telephony patents that had a positive impact on the communications industry.
Jim especially enjoyed spending time with his large, loving family. Jim and Carole’s marriage was an example for all. Even in their eighties, their expression of love was only something you would think could only be created in Hollywood; however, it was real, it was tender, and it was inspirational. Jim touched many people with his humble, kind and loving ways, always putting everyone else before himself.

Jim loved his family, he loved his wife, he loved his friends and he loved and worshiped God. He is and will always be missed and will forever be in our hearts.
